I bought this item about a month ago and find it very useful. I live in Los Angeles so a GPS system is very helpful finding my way around. I agree with another reviewer that the load time is a bit slow, but nothing that would cause me to have an issue with it. The maps themselves are Navtech maps and are used in the majority of preinstalled GPS systems of major car makers. There are several options with the 'advanced' mode and the basic mode offers simple navigation tools. I would recommend this to anyone considering a GPS system who doesn't want to spend over $500.

After looking into several models of Auromotive GPS, I got this unit for my wife @ Christmas. I have used it several times, and find it to be well built and reliable. The unit is easy to use, if you spend a few minutes looking at the instructions, and has a bigger screen than any other portable units, as far as I can see. Also, the windshield suction cup mount that comes with it is well-built, adheres to the glass very reliably, and is strong, without bounce or sway. The sound of the voice is decent also.

Great product. I purchased for my wife and it works very well for her.
br /Though the unit is a little slow to load the maps compared to models twice the price, it certainly works smoothly once loaded.
br /
br /I also use the product for road trips and it is nice having the entire US preloaded into the unit. other units require plugging into a computer.
br /
br /For the price/size, you can't beat it.

I spent a great deal of time researching navigation systems online before deciding on the Delphi Nav200. I began my search looking to spend between $200-$300 max. Having just moved to a new city, I decided it would serve me well in an area with confusing streets and poor sinage. I'm satisfied with my purchase. My Delphi nav system provides VERY accurate directions, and offers many features uncommon among systems at its price level. Not only does it show me exactly where I am, it tells me how far I have to go, how long it will take me to get there given current speed, and offers numerous views. Voice directions are loud and clear (volume can be adjusted). There are, however, a couple down-sides. Although the Delphi has an extensive POI database, you really do need to know the name of your destination as searching by category has proven difficult if not impossible on several occasions. The screen is large, but the many options I mentioned earlier are displayed along the sides during use making the map itself smaller. It can take several minutes to acquire satellite connection with each startup, but signal is strong and constant once acquired. Overall, I remain pleased with my purchase despite a few flaws. I think it would beat competitors in a side-by-side comparison.

We purchased this unit right before we left for an extensive family trip, and overall we loved it! We had never used GPS before, and made sure we took maps for back up. MapQuest being one of the resources. We had only one minor problem. This problem was matched by MapQuest and the GPS unit. It seems that the incorrect information is loaded into each database. We ended up on the side of a mountain on a very narrow dead end road, and had to back about two miles up the road (not an easy task towing a 30 foot travel trailer). We were stopped by a local, who said that happens all the time! He has contacted MapQuest, and was told that it takes two years to correct the data.
br /We loved the fact that we could pick a point of interest in the various cities, and the GPS was able to take us right to the location!

I have only used it once, but I was impressed with it. The one feature that I really liked was the way that it showed the curves in the road as they were coming up. If you are traveling on a road that you don,t know it is very useful.....

I've owned the NAV 200 for about a month now. so far, I've used it to guide me on a trip from Michigan to Florida, and to get me around the Sunshine State. It's been excellent. I've probably only scratched the surface of its capabilities. My only concern so far is that reading the display is next to impossible when I'm wearing sunglasses. This is a problem. Other than that, the system works as advertised; I'm glad I bought it.
$300 unit worked OK for 1.5 years now dead as a brick

My nav200 was having the problem that other people mentioned with "new route" always being shown for the last 3 months. Finally my nav200 died a couple of days ago meaning that the buttons light up but the screen is dark.
br /
br /Apparently there is no reset button to try. Also there is no user-replaceable battery. I just finished reading the user manual on the CD so this information is accurate.
br /
br /I guess it's dead for good. The tech support phone number at delphi is not operating on sunday nights as I write this. I would have called for help. But I see that several other users have had this same problem and I see that theirs is permanently dead too so I guess I wont bother wasting my time with the support phone call.
br /
br /When it was working it worked pretty well. However it showed the hourglass for 15 seconds at a time which is too much when you are in a car but its ok when you are sitting at a desk. Of course you dont use this kind of device at a desk. Also the "I agree it's not Delphi's fault if I crash" contract window popped up every time you turned it on and you had to click that button which is annoyhing and not easy when driving, almost caused me to crash. You have be very careful in pointing because there is a Cancel button below it which sometimes you hit by mistake if you drive over a bump. OVerall the startup speed took like 60 seconds which is very annoying unless you are sitting a desk.
br /
br /
br / I paid $300 which is a lot of money for a brick after only 1.5 years of use.
br /
br /I guess I wont be buying another Delphi because I cant afford to buy another GPS every 1.5 years.

The Delphi NAV200 is an amazing gift to give. It offers easy to handle controls with large font and bright colors. It also mounts easy and creates less of a blindspot than other GPSs. The price tag is right, and recently we drove around our little rural town in Rhode Island and it never lost us nor sent us the wrong way. It is good to know that this particular GPS knows the short route.

For the money this system is excellent. It performed well from the start. While it is easy to set up I have to learn some of the details for storing data and using it. Shipped quickly and accurately from the vendor.

The Delphi 200 gps is a great tool for those of us who travel quite a bit. It doesn't have all the features that the other gps navagation systems have but was much less expensive and gives us what we need. The order was shipped and delivered when promised. Great service.

I have been a Prime Amazon customer for years and just bought the Delphi for my husband trying to sell him on buying from Amazon. The Delphi came in a box that was pushed in, packaging was on top not on sides which is where it was pushed in. The internal box was open, the bracket was missing the screen had fingerprints on it and it appeared used. Wow, what a disappointment. He was wanting to use it this week too and I said Oh Amazon will get it here and it will be great. I was wrong. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH PRODUCT AND DELIVERY.

I was very excited about this GPS, many feature including movie playback. Getting movies into this, was long and arduous. I was hoping to show my demo reels on it, but to much work to load them, some would work, others not, even though they were made in it's video settings. The display in GPS mode was to crouded with sidebar info, and street info is too small. This GPS case is used by many other manufactures, look at Uniden GPS and others. The GPS case has no reset button, so when it bugs out, no way to reset it. My delphi I took on a trip to LA, when I turned it on, the buttons glowed but the screen was dead. This is when this Delphi NAV200 turned into junk, a completely dead unit, when I needed it most. Buying a Garmin Nuvi 350, tired of cheap units flailing. This was my 3rd GPS I tied, and like my ViaMichelin X-930, these cheapies are failing, wasting my time and money.

I had this for 2 days. Lets just say, if you have slightly bad eyes, I would not reccomend this for you for the small text they have. Also, the map colors are the worst that you have to move your head up closer to the unit to be able to focus clearly. The verbal navigation stopped working on mine after 2 days and it just kept saying new route in the corner and customer service could not help me at all. When you see a POI on the screen, you can not read what it is cause they picked a color that is very hard to see so there is no way possible you can read it. I'm only 19 with good vision too.

It was an awful product. It didnt work. It never picked up a signal from the satellite and it was missing parts. It is evident that this was a re-packaged product. I will never buy anything with the name "delphi' on it again. I returned it last week and am awaiting a credit to my card.

I purchased this product for a trip to North Carolina. It does ok for a straight shot to somewhere. One BIG problem is the fastest route it gave me was to go straight thru Baltimore and Washington. Not the beltway around each but straight thru. Your best bet with this unit is to have a map and know where you are going first then you can choose a better way in spots that are not straight to the point. The best route on these is not the best route. For some small run arounds in NC it worked well
