Just installed with ease into a Boston Whaler Dauntless 18. Very easy to follow directions. Did not drill the transom but used a plastic "wood" block (Home Depot) with 3M 5200. Very good readings and detail and fish recognition right on. The kids saw fish and immediately baited up. Two big catfish as their first catch which is the point of this gadget. Very interesting to see the river detail and just how shallow it is in parts that one would expect to be deep. This is a must a color monitor is the only way to go. Love it! I'll add a speed sensor asap. Also picked up the hard cover which fit perfectly and locked on even for trailering.
