I was pleased with my purchase of a Humminbird 717 from "Beach Audio". They had one of the lowest prices, and they shipped the item within a day or two of the order date. It was packaged well. I would gladly buy from them again.

br /The Humminbird 717 is a fairly complex fish finder. It was easy to install and it appears to have great capabilities, once you learn how to operate it. Considering how sophisticated this unit is, the instruction manual is very poorly written, especially if the buyer is a first-time fish finder user. Much of the learning process was "trial and error" on my part. My brother has a 717, and he said the same thing about the instructions. (I wonder if "Rocket Scientists" could understand these directions.)

br /I've used the 717 for about one month, and I probably am using about 40% of its capabilities. Eventually, I think that it will be worth every penny. I wish the screen were larger, but it's adequate.
