This is not my first GPS unit, but it is DEFINATELY the BEST I have yet to own or use at any price. Ive owned the Iway 600c now for 2 months, and have used ALL of its features, so I believe I can give an accurate discription of its performance. Before purchasing this GPS unit, I did my homework and very carefully read everything on the Internet I could get my hands on. As I did so, I saw several mentions of the Iway 600c as a comparison, and with good reason. I have personally found that it is, hands down, the most feature laden GPS on the market. PERIOD. Its easier to simply say, the only feature it DOESNT have is the highway info channel, which you will pay a subscription fee of about 10 bucks a month for, and in my opinion will go largly unused. If you travel for a living, I can see it, but with just two clicks, you can zoom out on the Iway 600c and see all surrounding roads and highways, plus it re-routes you as soon as you leave your route in as little as 300 FEET, so why bother!! The prices on the top units were reasonably close, and with clearly the most features and praise, I spent the few extra dollars on the Iway 600c. I could not be happier with this product by Lowrance. The Windshield Mount is Made in Germany, and is very substantial, and works great on my large Xterra Truck, so I know it will work with just about any other vehicle. The Unit itself is Rugged, Waterproof, has the Brightest TouchScreen on the Market, its Fast, Responsive, and I have YET to loose a signal. One more thing, I noticed that a review in PC magazine said that this model lacked the "Text to Speech" feature, which is NOT THE CASE. It speaks phrases such as "Turn left in 300 feet onto Eisenhower Street" and "Merge right onto Interstate I-80 in .2 miles" and that is what Text to Speech is! This IS the MOTHER OF ALL GPS UNITS!! Once you read the instructions and with a little practice, you will know as I do, NOBODY MAKES A MORE FULLY FEATURED, FASTER OR HIGHER PERFORMANCE PRODUCT, than the Iway 600c. Take it from somebody who actually OWNES AND USES IT. IT IS THE BOMB. Dont believe the naysayers who havent read the instructions and learned how to use it correctly..... It has MORE and BETTER FEATURES, BELLS AND WHISTLES AVAILABLE than ANY OTHER GPS/NAV unit, plus MANY that NO other GPS's HAVE. IF you want the MOST ADVANCED unit on the market, buy the Iway 600c.
