NOT for the Nuvi 200W
Rating: 1 out of 5
Weight: 6.9 out of 10

This product claims it is compatible with the Nuvi 200 - the Nuvi 200W is *not* the same size as the Nuvi 200 and this case is too small for the Nuvi 200W. The product dimensions in the product details of this case is misleading and incorrect (it's listed as 19.7 x 19.7 x 19.7 inches at the time of this review posting) - this case is only for those with a 3.5 inch Garmin unit. Please do not bother, Nuvi 200W owners, this carrying case will fall short of your needs.
Nice quality sleeve for smaller nuvis

This product has very nice touch and eye appeal. It's slightly different from and better quality than (it appears to be) in the image on the page at Amazon.
If you decide to buy it, be aware that it is a cushioned sleeve into which the nuvi slides, not really a full, closed case. It is fairly snug, but I do not know how well it would protect the unit if dropped, particularly on the open side.
I like it though, and it's fine to protect the screen when I store it in the glove compartment or center console, or in a coat pocket.
Strictly from a functional standpoint though, you can get one of those little Velcro cases they make for digital cameras, for about a third the price. But this case makes you feel nice. So there IS that.

Yes, this fits a Garmin Nuvi, and it says which models it fits on the package when you receive it. Unfortunately, the Amazon description does not tell you which models. I bought a Nuvi 760, and under accessories, this was presented. I ordered it, but when it arrived it was too small for the 760.

I was very upset to find out that the case doesn't fit the 250 W Garmin nuvi. I am having a hard time finding a case that fits. The product page should be more specific about the "W" size issue.

I bought this case for my Nuvi 650 to protect the screen. While my unit technically does "fit" in the case, only about two-thirds of the screen is covered. The rest just sticks out of the top of the rather small case.
If you want to protect the screen I suggest a larger case.

Amazon advertised this as a companion purchase to the Garmin 200W so I ordered it. Its about an inch short covering the 200W. It doesn't cover the wide screen model. It was a gift for my husband's birthday and he thought it was good enough, so we kept it but buyer beware. Amazon, you need to change your site.

To be accurate this is not a review of the case itself but a red flag to all you Garmin widescreen GPS owners. Both Amazon and ANTonline recommend this case for the 4.3 widescreen unit when it's at east 3/4" to short to protect the screen. I informed both Amazon and ANTOnline and they still have not corrected the recommendation. So people are buying it
with the wrong impression. I tried to have ANTOnline either accept it back as a return or an exchange for the correct case (see Garmin website for the correct case)but they ignored all my requests until they finally emailed me to tell me they contacted Garmin who will work with me to correct the matter. Regardless of why Garmin should be responsible for their mistake, I called Garmin and asked them if ANTOnline had contacted them.
They claimed they never heard from them but were willing to send me the correct case for free. So within a week's time I received my new case from Garmin. Three cheers for Garmin! Three boos for Amazon and ANTOnline.

There's nothing wrong with this product, the problem I have is with Amazon's web page. This product is for the Nuvi 200 (3.5" screen), and I own a Nuvi 200W (4.3" screen). Of course I didn't find this out until I got it. The cost of return shipping and the overal hassle is not worth it to return it.

This product fits the Garmin beautifully but it is only for the GPS. There is no space for the windshield mount or charger so I would not waste the money unless you plan to put the case in something else that carries everything that is needed for it to operate. Garmin without the adapter is useless because the battery life is not that great. I bought this against the advise of a friend. I returned the Garmin and the case as well.

Garmin 010-10723-02 Carrying Case For Nuvi This is a well-made case for the navigation unit ONLY. While it fits well and offers obvious protection for the touchscreen, I still have to carry the windshield mounting eqipment separately when I travel. A slightly larger case that had room for the entire setup would have been a much better choice.

This came as an add on when I bought my Nuvi 200w, only one problem. This pouch is for the Nuvi 200 and not the 200w which is longer. It let 1/3 of the Nuvi stick out so I returned it and went to Wal-Mart and bought a case for a digital camera that fit it just fine.

The carrying case does not have a strap or zipper or anyway to secure the nuvi in place to prevent it from falling out of the case. I bought the case with the goal of keeping the screen from getting scratched and the case can do that provided the nuvi stays in the case. The Garmin case did not work for me. I bought a small camera carrying case with a zipper at Wal Mart for about $5 that does the job that I needed.

My wife picked me up a Garmin Nuvi for our anniversary. While I love the GPS, and think I definitely could use a case for it, I'm not completely sure this is the best one for the job. It does provide moderate protection, but isn't something I'd consider a case that would save my GPS during a fall. It protects the device from scratches, dings, and the like, but Zagg's Invisible Shield could do that without the added bulk.
br /
br /I do, however, like that it isn't too bulky. It does a decent job, and still works good enough for me when I travel with my GPS (can't find myself to want to mount it to the car).
br /
br /BTW-If you're looking for a good, hassle-free mounting solution, give the Handstands Sticky Pad a try. No residue, or mess to deal with. Just throw your GPS on there and enjoy.

This case is easy to use but may be a little short for the 4" wide GPS systems as they stick out a bit. It provides basic protection for your GPS when you take it out of the car but a belt clip would be good so you don't have to carry it or put it in your pocket to have it with you. The small side pocket is convenient to put notes, cards or receipts.

Thankfully, the device still worked fine, but when I get another GPS (in 2 or 3 years), I'll get a case that closes all around the GPS.

Had I known I wouldn't have bought it. But I would not recommend going without this case. It protects the screen on the GPS when you carry it in you pocket. That's one of the nice things about the Nuvi - It's so small you can put it in you pocket.

This case was actually provided with my Nuvi GPS. It is very nice and perfectly protects the unit. The little side pocket holds the quick start guide so you will not be up a creek without a paddle if you forget how to do something. However that is not likely to happen as the on screen instructions are so very simple.

Very happy with this carrying case-just like ones in the store, but much cheaper and got free shipping by combining items. A must buy if you'll be carrying your gps around a lot (I keep it in my purse at all times).

When I ordered My Garmin Nuvie 760 on Amazon the Amizon puters whent crazzy sending me items that I also should by with the unit. So I looked over the list....let's see...12 Volt Power cord for the car ..Ok...I'll buy that.. ( Amazon had no way of kmowing or didn't care that a Special 12 volt power cord comes with the unit that gives you real time traffic)at no charge.
br /
br /Ok I blew $10.00 Bucks.. They also said Hey how about this weighted Padded dash mout that sits on your dash for your garmin to snap into. Hey it's only $25.00 . Ok I guess I'll need that to hold the unit on the dash.
br /
br /But The Garmin Nuvi 760 comes with a windshild suction cup assembly free with the unit. Wow..another $25.00 down the tubes.
br /
br / The next Item that they suggested was a nice leatehtr case for $10.00. Ok me says...I'll get on of dem dare as I don't want to scratch my new garmin.... Wrong again... The case does not fit or is not made for the Nuvi 760. It's made for a smaller unit. I had to go out and spend $37.00 with shipping to get the correct one and not from Slamazon.
br /
br /Ok Pee away anothr $10.00. To return these items is a pain in the butt ..I have to pay shipping back and we all know how much that costs. So I decided to give away the leather case to a friend who smokes as a pack of cigs fit's perfect in the case. He's happy. The power cord is now a spare. And the big weighted padded dash holder thingy ..well as a Joke I where it on my head at times driving down the road as it has four big flaps that hang over your face.. Makes you look like the "Court Jester"
br /I'll use that around Holloween time.
br /
br /Do your self a favor double check waht amazon sends you wen they tell you it's an accessory for what you are buying..

I have a garmin 260W and I was led to believe that this one would fit, but it is too short. However, it is a nice product for the money and I guess I can live with my garmin protruding about an inch. It would be better if it had some kind of strap that went over the end to keep the garmin from falling out, but mine fits pretty tight.

br /UPDATED. . .
br /I recently purchased a case for my nintedo ds
br /
br /http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-DS-Dura-Case-Black/dp/B000V8TZ16/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8s=videogamesqid=1225465448sr=8-2
br /
br /this case fits my nuvi 260w great. The width and height are perfect. The length is a little longer... just enough to get your finger in there to pull it out. This is a hard case with a rubber lining. You could probably step on it and not hurt it. No room for anything else, but I just use it to protect my nuvi. The best thing, it's only ten bucks!

I was also duped into buying this case for my Nuvi 760. I specifically listed my product to make sure that I got the correct case. This case came up as the for my unit. It stated it was for the Nuvi Series.
br /
br /I just received it yesterday. I haven't even opened the packaging and can already tell that it is not going to fit.
br /
br /I went back to Amazon's website and re-entered the information. Again this case came up for the Nuvi 760. Normally I read the reviews first before I purchase. Since I had done a lengthy search on the GPS units, I didn't bother to check for reviews on the case.
br /
br /I think everyone that was mislead should contact Garmin and let them know what is being done on this website. Maybe then they will list the correct products. Should avoid having a lot of upset and angry customers.
br /Trying to return and purchase the correct one (which specifies it is for the Nuvi 660) is not only a hassle but costly.
br /
br /Amazon is turning into another EBay. Guess I will shop elsewhere. I may pay a little more but I will probably receive the correct item ordered.

This is a nice case, just not big enough for the nuvi 200W. This was offered as an additional item to purchase for the 200W. My mistake for not verifying that it would fit. Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be a case available yet for the 200w, so this is better than nothing. It doesn't cover the entire screen, but does offer some protection

Since my GPS will pretty much stay in my car, this won't be too useful for me. If the shipping costs hadn't nearly doubled the cost, I'd feel better about this product; however, it isn't worth the total cost.
Took retailer a while to ship the product, too. I was hoping their timeframe for cancelling a non-filled order would lapse and I wouldn't have to buy this. It shipped and the cost of returning would be more than the value of the case.
If you will be carrying your GPS around, it is a great way to protect it from damage. A tight fit, so there's no room for anything but the GPS.

case was recommended by Amazon as a match for the GPS I bought. Not so. About 1 inch too short to cover the unit.
Sent email to customer service. They said they would correct the error, but made no offer to exchange for the correct item or make any other adjustment.
I suppose I could pay $7 shipping to return an $11 item. Instead, I'll approach accessories offered by Amazon with caution. Such are the perils of shopping online. Buyer beware.

I ordered a garmin nuvi 205 and also a protective case for the nuvi. The garmin nuvi 205 was fine, but the package the protective case came in had already been opened. It was probably sent back to Amazon by someone else, and Amazon passed it on to me. I thought that was VERY poor customer service. I will be careful from now on if I ever order from Amazon again. I am very disappointed with Amazon. Shame on you! Now get your act together.

br /I purchased a GPS and carrying case from Amazon, in the United States, and went to pick it up the day I was leaving for Panama.
br /
br /They sent the WRONG carrying case! The GPS unit sticks out over an inch, and exposes the screen to scratches and other damage. It is absolutely worthless to me.
br /
br /So now I have a case that is worthless, and worse yet, I have to start searching for a new one here in Panama--because I sure as heck won't trust Amazon to ship me the right one!

br /ps: They wouldn't let me select ZERO stars in this review, so I had to give it one star. It doesn't deserve even that!
