Great Case, Can accidentally turn on GPS

I bought this case from my Nuvi 760, I would buy it again.

Pros
+ reinfoced front and back makes for a sturdy case that protects the device from both scratches and impacts
+ very snug but easy to get in and out - hasn't ever slipped out
+ good size, it is about as small as it can be
+ soft interior to prevent scratches
+ small sleeve on the side

Cons
- It is snug enough to sometimes slide the power switch on the 760 as I take it in or out. I need to make sure it goes in with the switch down and locked so it doesn't come on when I put it in. Coming on on the way out isn't such a big deal since I usually want to use it.

Overall this is a great case, if you are careful you could call auto-power-on a feature!

Nice Basic Case For Garmin

I ordered this case for my Garmin 200W. It works great, nice case - quality construction. I would not recommend this case for any 'rugged' applications. A hard shell case would probably be much better. But this case will suit the needs of most average consumers. It is durable and can be put in a bag or purse. My only complaint is I wish it had a closure tab or strap to give it extra security for the GPS to not slip out but I've not had any problems. Nice basic protective case.

Very nice case (actually really a sleeve) that fits neatly around my Garmin Nuvi 650 and protects the unit and especially the screen. I use it all the time whenever I take my Garmin out of the car, and with this case feel comfortable just putting it in my coat pocket. Has a nice, soft leatery feel. And because it is a sleeve, the SD card slot on the side is exposed so you can easily remove the card (such as to add more MP3s) while keeping the Garmin protected. One small caveat: Because it is a sleeve, the Garmin can slide out if held loosely with the opening facing down.

would have liked an enclosed case with a zipper going around it. the picture was hard to tell for sure. also when you put in the unit, the switch will sometimes turn on because the fit is tight.

Great Protection For Your Garmin Nuvi GPS Investment

There is not much that I can say about this case. After all, it is just a basic leather case. It may be a bit plain looking but it definately offers great protection for the pricey Nuvi GPS product line.

I have used this model case for the Nuvi 250W and the Nuvi 660. Both units fit snug, although the Nuvi 660 fits almost too snug. As another reviewer pointed out, you do not need to purchase this case for the Nuvi 660 unless you want an extra, since this exact case is included with the 660 package.

I give this product 4 stars, but its solid build and great protection. It will not win any beauty contests. It is just a plain looking case, which could use softer leather and more padding. A closing top flap with a magnetic closure would also be a welcome addition. Still, it is inexpensive and goes a long way to protect your portable electronic investment.

Our nuvi 260W did not come with a case, and this was the one that was recommended as the case that fit the 260W on the Garmin web site.
br /
br /It works for its purpose, which is to provide some basic protection for the GPS when it's not mounted in a vehicle. It doesn't have a belt clip, it doesn't have a zipper, it doesn't make julienne fries. It's not a fashion accessory that will impress your friends.
br /
br /It's a simple slide-on case that holds our GPS securely and keeps the screen from being scratched when it's not in use. It's of the quality and utility that one would expect from a case that would be included with the GPS, but for whatever reason, Garmin decides not to do so.
br /
br /For the price, it does what it's supposed to do. I've been using ours casually for almost two months, and have not had any problem with the case stretching to the point where the GPS can slip out. There are other cases that provide other features, so options are available if you're looking for some other utility.
br /
br /This is a basic case that does what it's supposed to do. Nothing more, nothing less. Exactly what it should be.

I bought a Nuvi 650 to replace my Nuvi 350, excellent price but it did not include the leather case. This is the genuine Garmin case, fits perfectly and protects the Nuvi screen from damage. There is another model with a flap, but I had this type for my Nuvi 350 and it was more than adequate.

This case fits the Nuvi 660 very snugly. It serves its purpose well in that it helps to protect the screen when the unit is not in use. One potential problem is that some screen protectors will come off when putting the GPS in the case because the fit is so snug.

The case is leather on the outside, and has a soft interior. All in all it does what it is supposed to: it protects your Nuvi. Its not a hard case, so obviously it has its limitations. The only problem I have with it is that when you remove the nuvi from the case the edge of the case often catches the power/screen lock button. This results in the unit being turned on, or the screen locking, depending on how you have the unit oriented in the case. This is only a minor annoyance because I always put the nuvi in the case such that it turns on when removing it, and usually if I'm taking the nuvi out of the case I'm about to use it anyway.

The Nuvi 750 fits very nicely in the case. It is easy to inadvertently slide the power switch on when inserting the GPS. We try to remember to "lock" the screen after turning the GPS off before putting it in the case.

Garmin Leather Carrying Case for Nuvi 4.3" Displays (OEM)

Thanks for your feedback
Like all Original Equipment Manufactured (OEM) products, it will be more expensive than those made by other companies. But this is a relatively inexpensive item at a MSRP of $18.00, and it's even better at $13.00! If your GPS does not come with a case, make the investment to protect your $300-$400 GPS and buy one. It doesn't have to be OEM, just one that fits properly and is made of a durable material (leather does not rip easily). This case has no special padding for added protection to absorb shock, so it's no different from after market products. I'm very happy with this purchase.

If you do not have the "Wide" 4.3" Nuvi, do not buy this item. For some reason Amazon has been recommending the wrong case to some people when they purchase a Garmin GPS. Again, this item is for the 4.3" screen size. To be sure, check with Garmin before you purchase the wrong case.
br /
br /As for the case itself, it does a good job of protecting the screen. It will not hold a power cord or any other Garmin accessories other than maybe a SD card. The case is not completely enclosed and it is possible for your GPS to slide out of the case depending on how you store it.

I bought this to fit a Nuvi 760 and it fits perfectly. Not too loose, not too tight. It would be nice to have perhaps a little strap that snaps in place to ensure the GPS doesn't slip out but it's snug enough so that I'm not really that worried about it. Decent product and I'd recommend it for your GPS to help protect the screen.

Some reviewers gave this one star because they didnt feel they needed it? Confusing what that has to do with the actual product. When I'm in a store or leaving my car parked on a street I take my 750 off the mount and keep it in the glove compartment. I wanted a case so there was no chance of marring it up or potentially placing something else in the glove compartment with it and damaging the screen. The unit slides in and is held in tight (someone complained in a review that it was too snug) which it should since if it slid out what would be the point of using a case?

Pros: Fits my unit perfectly, seems of good quality, genuine Garmin product

Cons: A little pricey for what it is

well it is what it is, seems a bit cheap-o to me reminds me of the case I got with my Dell Axim, it is leather....but beware it looks very supple in the picture, when in actuality it is very hard, and fits the GPS very very tightly almost too tight for my taste. would definitely be a lot better if it were made from a more better grade of leather. but just my thoughts. buy it if you like but remember looks may be deceiving.

Bought this case for my Garmin Nuvi 650. It's great! It fits perfectly and is well made. The outside is made of real leather which makes it durable. The inside is lined with soft felt-like lining to prevent scratching the display screen. Only problem is that it is not a "hard-sided" case so your Garmin Nuvi can still be accidently crushed if packed in luggage. If you hand carry your Garmin Nuvi a lot, I would definitely recommend this carrying case.

I bought this Garmin Carrying case not for Nuvi 660, but for my new Nuvi 650, which measures the same. This means that it fits perfectly into the carrying case, without hanging out as it would in the smaller Nuvi carrying cases. Also, the previous reviewer that said there wasn't a pocket on the front the carrying case - I definitely have a pocket, maybe you got a different model somehow? It would easily fit an SD card, maybe 2 even. I definitely recommend - the size is perfect, the quality of leather is good (a little stiffer, but you want that in a carrying case), and the padding inside is nice - lined with a velvet like material to not scratch the screen. Definitely a good buy!

The carry case makes for a nice tight fit for the Garmin Nuvi 650. However, it does not enclose the entire Garmin unit. One of the edges of the garmin unit is exposed in the case, so it is not really a water proof case. The case does not protect the Garmin from cold temperatures which can permanently ruin the unit. You should never leave the Garmin in the car in freezing temperatures. But it does fit snug, and is lined with a soft material that does protect the unit. Over all I would say to buy the cary case. However, it is way over priced at around $28.00.

This fits my Nuvi 650 perfectly. It'll fit nicely into my purse or pocket. It's quite a tight fit so far, so, according to how you put it in, you may accidentally turn the Garmin on every time you take it out of this case. Not a big deal, though. I really wish the top wasn't open, to protect the product from dirt and dust. One less star for that, although it does make it more quickly accessible.

The case seems well-designed except for fact you need to be a little careful, as the snug fit can actually lead to sliding the unit on/off. Just need to be cognizant which way unit is insered into case.

The case should be more compatable with the product

The case will hold the Garmin 760 Personal Travel Assistany quite tightly and secure. The only problem is that it encounters the on/off button on the unit and causes it to be turned on when it should be staying off when in it's case.

this product is advertised along with the Garmin nuvi 750. It does not fit the 750. Why was it advertised as fitting with a unit that it cannot be used with. This is not accurate and should not be presented as working with the 750.

If you are buying the nuvi unit do yourself a favor and purchase the leather case. It a great case, value for money. Its very convinient to carry so you can stop worrying about getting it stolen for your car. One thing to note, always put the unit in lock mode prior to inserting in the case.

Amazon recommended it and I never checked it any further as I figured Amazon knew what model I had purchased. What I received was not designed for the nuvi 760 that I had purchased. It sits on the counter waiting for me to get it together to ship it back. Beware of Amazon recommendations and check models before you buy.

I purchased this to carry my Nuvi 650. It's such a tight fit, I have to use tools and brute force to pull the Nuvi out of the case. Right now, I have a piece of wood inside the case, to stretch it somewhat. Otherwise, it's a nice looking case.

The case was nice for the price. It is certainly nice to have something with which to transport the Garmin around. The only subtle problem is that it is such a snug fit that if you slide the Garmin in the wrong direction, it sometimes inadvertantly turns on.

I would give this product a zero star rating if that were possible. Even though this case is a Garmin product that says it is for a Nuvi 650 it is way too small for a Nuvi 650 to go in it. I forced it in about 1/2 way and almost wasn't able to get it back out. I even stuffed it with paper as hard as I could and left the paper in it overnight in an effort to stretch it but the unit still would not go in it. Who ever sewed it together made it too small. It was a complete waste of money for me.

I like the case's material. Look tough and well-made, so it is good for people who keep their garmins in their bags. However, it's too small for nuvi 670. I have to force the garmin in and out the case. I have to be very careful when when I pull it out because I don't want to break the screen. Overall, the product is great, tough, and very protective, but again too small for nuvi 670.

As stated in the headline, this item is below Garmin quality. I've received one as part of the 660 bundle, and after using it for a couple of months, the screen cracked because of the not-so-strong pressure in my gloves compartment, even though the device was in the case. Therefore, this cheap plastic couldn't protect my screen. Since my kids lost the case, I've bought the new one which is a little bit smaller, so it's not so easy to fit 660 in. Would by a hard case if I'd known there is one.

Positive: It looks nice, feels nice, and protects the screen very well.
br /Negative: Maybe this is just because it's new, but I find it hard to get the Garmin out. Worse though, the close fit on the sides "diddles" with the slide switch and may turn the unit on.

The leather carrying case is ideal for storing your Garmin in a purse, fanny pack or other small space while away from your car. It has a small outer pocket for storing memory cards which can be useful. The only downside and it is small, is how tight the Garmin 650 fits into it. You need to press very firmly to get the GPS all the way in and when you pull it out, if you have the on button at the outside corner, you will definitely turn the device on before removing it from the case. Not really an issue, but I would have liked a little less tight fit.

I bought this case for my Nuvi 755T and I would buy it again.
br /
br /Pros
br /-front and back are reinfoced making for a sturdy case that protects the device from both scratches and impacts
br /-snug fit, but easy to get in and out - hasn't ever slipped out
br /-as small as they could make it and still fit the unit
br /-soft interior to prevent scratches
br /-small sleeve on the side
br /
br /Cons
br /-It is snug enough to sometimes slide the power switch on the 755T as I take it in or out.
br /-No belt clip (that's one I really think they missed).
br /
br /Overall this is a good case, if you are not careful you could turn on the unit!

I would return it but, once you open the package wrap you have to pay 30% restocking charge plus shipping back and insurance the dam thing cost $12.99 pls 2.00 shipping so to send it back it will cost me about $7.00 not worth it. In Boston is a electronics store that carries everyting I wish I went their first. No happy in Boston

It is a case for your garmin - not a "carrying" case. I expected it to hold more than just the device. I guess I should have looked more closely at the image and figured out that such a slim case wouldn't be able to accomodate anything else.

ALTHOUGH SPECIFIED FOR THE 660, THIS CASE FITS SEVERAL GARMIN SERIES, INCLUDING THE 700 SERIES(760 IN MY CASE). THE CASE IS VERY WELL MADE AND LOOKS GOOD. THE GARMINS SLIP SNUGLY INTO THE CASE AND ARE HELD SECURELY. THE HARD FRONT AND BACK PROTECT THE SCREEN VERY WELL. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TO PROTECT YOUR GARMIN WHEN NOT IN USE.

This carrying case is a quite basic, snug, no frills pouch for protecting the 660 (in my case, 650) navigator from scratches in the glove box or from minor drops. I thought it may have a pocket for storage -- it does not, but probably none is needed for use away from a car since no accessories are needed for use. The increase in dimensions when using the case is so slight that it still fits in most men's shirt pockets, yet helps prevents the 660 from sliding out when one bends forward.

I bought this case for my nuvi 750. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. The only complaint that I have is that the inside edge seam turns on the nuvi when you remove it from the case. This can be avoided by applying a small amount of pressure on the sides near the seam. This causes the seamed edge to bow up and miss the switch. If you're about to use the nuvi, then having it turned on for you may be a feature.

Although the tracking showed this delivered, I never got it so I had to call Amazon's customer service which took me 20 minutes to find. No effort was made to find out what happened to the item. Although I have not had problems with Amazon before, I'm a little worried about buying anything more expensive. I asked the customer service person to pass along my comments and I don't think he understood me or had the option of passing along my concern.
