Works as expected. When plugged in, it shows up as a serial port. It sends NMEA data at 1-second intervals at 4800/8N1. It is based on the PL-2303 USB/serial port.

br /I plugged it into my Ubuntu Linux box and it was instantly recognized and started sending data to the computer. I had to do nothing to install any drivers, since they are included with the Linux kernel.
